If you can wear healing leggos, the final phase is a target dummy. I would save Paladin Tank challenge until last, just to look to boost that item level.ĭPS wise I found Frost Mage twins to be the hardest, and I found Agatha/Eye/Halls all about the same but easier than Twins, but Felltotem was easily the easiest. I found Paladin hit a gear point at which the Tank challenge became really easy, I'm sure at i900 it was the hardest by a long way, but as it gets much higher gear, the dps (in Tank) really escalates quickly. Personally I found Monk to be the hardest for tank and heals, but it was also quite low gear, compared to the other classes. I learnt on the Priest, and so spent maybe 3 hours on that one, but managed the others (not the Monk!) in one flask/hour. I spent maybe 7 hours doing the Monk one as I just seemed to get every arrow in the knee and all forms of RNG (both for the Tank and the Healer). The others were all within the first flask/hour.Ī couple of hours in the Healer one and maybe I've gotten to the end encounter 7 times, and maybe I've tried to master the first 5 minutes 10 times and the final encounter 4 times. I personally spent more than 2 hours on Druid and Monk, and got them in the 3rd hour. In my mind no doubt DPS is easier than either Tank or Heals, but in a couple of hours I could really get a large number of attempts on Kruul in and perfect the infernal smash dodge, and look for better add management. I personally found the Healer one harder, quite simply due to the amount of time i spent on it compared to other challenges. But I understand why Blizzard would rather have all new rewards, and recolored Tier 20 Mythic looks aren’t a bad way to go about it… even if that Warrior set never really did much for me and does less in the recolor. To make the challenges a little easier for my alts, I got them some better gear, than when I did it on my main. Now, I admit, as someone who didn’t know that the various Mage Tower appearances would eventually be transmoggable outside of spec, I’m a little disappointed I never bothered with the original MT looks, and I wouldn’t have minded the chance to go for them again.

(No word on rewards for Feral Druids, however.) And there’s one more reward for industrious players who complete all seven challenges across their characters: the Soaring Spelltome mount. Guardian Druids, who don’t benefit from transmog, will get a new fel variant of the werebear form. Instead, the Timewalking Mage Tower offers recolored Tier 20 sets, giving players who already did the content a reason to do it again. However, this new iteration of the Mage Tower won’t give new players the same rewards, so you don’t have a second chance at collecting Mage Tower Artifact appearances. The original challenges could be quite difficult, and Blizzard is tuning these encounters “with the intention of providing a meaningful level of difficulty to current players.” “Thwarting the Twins” for Balance Druid, Marksmanship Hunter, Frost Mage Shadow Priest, and Affliction Warlock.ĭuring Legion Timewalking, you’ll be able to run these challenges as much as you’d like - no word on whether it will require a currency like the original - and won’t require you to have acquired an Artifact weapon or any other Legion prerequisites.“End of the Risen Threat” for Restoration Druid, Mistweaver Monk, Holy Paladin, Holy Priest, and Restoration Shaman.“The Highlord’s Return” for Blood Death Knight, Vengeance Demon Hunter, Guardian Druid, Brewmaster Monk, Protection Paladin, and Protection Warrior.
